Updates to the Head Start Designation Renewal System

2020

The Office of Head Start recently issued its much-anticipated revisions to the Designation Renewal System (DRS) rule, which include changes to three key areas affecting recompetition: CLASS reviews, monitoring deficiencies, and audit findings. We also discussed the potential impacts on recompetition from the Office of Management and Budget’s recent Uniform Guidance updates as well as from the new audit compliance supplement.
